Project Summary

Dato-Axis consult provided field monitoring and coordination support for a maternal and child health service delivery initiative focused on Vitamin A supplementation and nutrition services for women and children under five.
The assignment involved coordination of ward-level activities across 15 wards within Uruan Local Government Area, including support for the training of over 110 health workers on the delivery of targeted maternal and child health services. Field monitoring was conducted across 18 health facilities to assess implementation quality, adherence to standard operating procedures, and availability and use of commodities.
The work also included community-level engagement to strengthen stakeholder buy-in, daily review meetings to validate facility-level data, and feedback sessions to support continuous improvement in service delivery. The monitoring activities contributed to high coverage levels, with 86% Vitamin A supplementation and 76% nutritional assessment coverage among children under five within the LGA.
